I am not one to do things simply. If there is a way to add on or embellish, I’ll take it. So when it comes to busting out this nouveau herbal classic for Turmeric & pepper-infused milk… I stay true to form and toss in a few extra dollops of goodness to the already lovely brew. The extra herbs I’ve chosen all hail from the Adaptogen category. Plant allies that you can enjoy without limit - because there’s no contra-indications or side effects for over-dosing. Just good, sustainable Uplift for your Adrenals, Immune system and to help boost your overall Vitality.

Note: For the Following recipe, with the exception of the milk, I’ve chosen to speak quantities in the traditional Folk Method. Rather than use teaspoons, grams or tablespoons, I’ve stuck with the old-school description of parts. I’ll let your own palate and supply cart determine just how much you use for your various “parts”. Generally, I’m working with a heaping spoonful or so (I know - so very scientific of moi. =)
The herbs I bought already powdered from one of my favorite local suppliers. But you can just as easily powder your own at home in a (clean!!!) coffee grinder or food mill. Keep in mind that powdered herbs are less stable than their un-ground counterparts (think — fresh-ground coffee vs. that sorry-lookin’ pre-ground stuff in the bargain bin at Safeway). So, if this is gonna be just an occasional treat — you might consider either small portions of each ingredient, or freshly grind them yourself.
